Hunting Ridge Church

Kids

RidgeTown Kids brings the Bible to life for our 1st through 6th graders. With RidgeTown Music, our kids learn to sing and play songs that glorify their Creator! RidgeTown Music begins each Sunday at 10:45AM and each Wednesday at 6:45PM. Games, skits, and the devotion are all in a fun atmosphere in our Student Life Center. Each Sunday, the kids break up into small groups to discuss the devotion and learn how to apply the weekly principle to their lives. On Wednesdays, Girls Club and Royal Rangers classes are designed to meet the individual spiritual and physical needs of growing kids.

WeeTown Kids is a program designed just for our infants and preschoolers. Our nursery is staffed with professional childcare providers and volunteers who have all passed background checks, to ensure your child’s safety. Teachers in our WeeTown preschool and kindergarten classes teach with crafts, music, skits, and lessons. Our kids learn memory verses each week that tells them they are made in the image of a Creator that loves them!

WeeTown and RidgeTown Kids programs use Reggie Joiner’s Orange Curriculum. More information about Orange can be found at www.whatisorange.org. We partner with parents because we believe that two influences are better than one. You can download the Parent Cue app at www.theparentcue.org to see our lessons each week. It’s a great resource that offers parenting tips, discussion questions to ask your children, and devotions throughout the week to have with your family.

Student Life

Student Life at Hunting Ridge Church begins at 7th grade and continues through college. Our students meet weekly on Wednesdays at 6:45PM for games, live music and worship, and devotion before breaking up into small groups. Junior High and Senior High Sunday School classes meet each week at 10:00AM. Various small groups meet weekly at different times for fellowship, fun, and devotion.

Our Student Life building features an indoor half-court basketball court, a cafe that serves meals every Wednesday night for $2, and small group rooms for 7th-8th, 9th-10th, 11th-12th, and College small groups.

HRC Students meet twice a month on Sunday evenings after drama class for yak-n-snak, where we go to a different restaurant, hang out and just enjoy getting to know each other.

The HRC Student Life program uses Reggie Joiner’s Orange Curriculum. More information about Orange can be found at www.whatisorange.org. We believe strongly in partnering with parents because two influences are better than one. You can download the Parent Cue app at www.theparentcue.org to see our monthly series. It’s a great resource that offers parenting tips, discussion questions and devotions throughout the week to have with your students.

Worship Arts

The Worship Arts department at Hunting Ridge Church plays a vital role in our weekly worship service. The Voices of Hunting Ridge, our choir, is open to all members and regular attenders of Hunting Ridge over the age of 15, and auditioned for ages 12 through 15. If you are interested in joining the choir, we invite you to sit in on one of our weekly rehearsals. Check out our calendar page to see this week’s practice schedule. The Shock and Awe Team is the part of our Worship Arts department that handles lighting, sound, stage design, backdrops, and more. This team consists of sound engineers, graphic designers, creatives, artists, and web developers. If you’re interested in bringing your creativity to our Shock and Awe team, connect with us here.

The HRC Drama Class meets twice a month and performs skits, human videos, and dramas that enhance our worship experience. The class teaches stage presence, improv skills, communication, and much more. Check out our calendar for the next class and join us!

Missions

Missions is part of the DNA at Hunting Ridge Church. We believe that each person is called to share this journey with others. We have teams that meet weekly, monthly, and quarterly. Our Adullum House team does various projects and offers constant support to this partner in ministry that cares for infants and children of our communities incarcerated women.

The Salvation Army team meets quarterly and provides not only a hot meal, but prayer with each individual that joins for lunch at the Salvation Army in Montgomery.

Our Visitation team brings smiles and sunshine to our shut-ins and those who are unable to attend church. We pray for strength for these individuals and for their caregivers who work so hard to provide the best life possible for our family members.

We sponsor amazing organizations like Life-on-Wheels, a mobile ultrasound unit that promotes birth for women who are seeking guidance and direction in difficult situations. We have teams that go our to local nursing homes and play games and sing with those who are often unable to go anywhere and many times are forgotten.

Our Random Acts of Kindness team chooses a different mission each quarter and shows up unexpectedly to bless our community in big ways. As stated before, Missions is part of our DNA at Hunting Ridge Church and we love bringing Christ to our community in many different ways.

Check out the Calendar to view what mission team is on the move next.
